You'll see opportunities.
If you believe it won't,
You'll see obstacles.
~ Jon Alma
In Hebrews 12:1, 2, 3 The word tells us that we have been surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, to throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles us, and let us run. Let us fix our eyes upon Jesus...so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
The chapter speaks of how we are honored to be called sons. We will be put through hardships, have to endure, to consider this as discipline to make us stronger. If I raise my son and let him have everything he wanted at every moment, he would not learn the value in a dollar. If I let him do what ever he wanted, he would not know self control or the value of another person. He would not learn what we call "Life's lessons that make you stronger." If we do not walk through challenges in our lives, receive discipline, we are not taught or guided to become stronger. The Lord teaches us with life's challenges and discipline.
Hebrews 12:12,13 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and week knees. "Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
Have you ever wondered if vs. 12 and 13 mean get up and stop being a stumbling block for those who are traveling the path too. I hear so much complaining and excuses used every day. Some times I wonder if we are what is in the way of ourselves?
Consider how many times this week you are choosing words that
1. Lead you forward
2. Help you stand still
3. Send you backwards
on your path to Jesus.
Do you see opportunities or obstacles?

timely post... considering Trev is out of town and the kids are out of sorts... I definitely want to find the opportunities this week... I want to be a positive light for my kids and friends... even if it is going to be a more exhausting week!
love you and your positive attitude~
I thought of you when I wrote the part about running. You, being an avid runner, understand the whole idea of pushing past the leg cramps, exhaustion, etc...to finish the race. Putting your mind over the physical pain. Keeping focused on the goal.
The same as us here on Earth pushing through pain and trials and keeping our eyes on Jesus.
Can't wait to see ya! Love ya friend!
Three are soo many good spiritual running analogies... I could probably have a blog just on those:)
We are psyched to see you.. I don't care for how long... You can stop on the way home too if you'd like.. although I know the mission "to get home" is always strong~!
have a beautiful day!
