James Taylor is amazing!

Yesterday my family went to the James Taylor concert with two old friends, Keisha and Kwaun. The whole evening was WONDERFUL!!! I can not give James the praise he deserves, but WOW! What a talented man!

Our friends invited us to the concert and what a fantastic gift! We had lawn seats so we were very lucky that it only sprinkled a little rain here and there. The temps last night were just cool enough to set a perfect mood. James took us to church and back, sang the blues, and rocked. He was fun, funny, an all around entertaining artist. The place was packed from the front seats to the back lawn. There were a few songs at the end, before the encore, that everyone sang.

The Red Wings were playing in the playoffs against the Pittsburgh Penguins. All through out the evening people walked by us and said the score. Each time they scored you'd hear "Let's Go Red Wings!" cheering from the lawn crowd. When they won James Taylor put on a Red Wings hat and a band member held up a Red Wings jersey. How cool was that! As we left after the concert the cars were honking to celebrate the Wings win.

Nothing like hearing "You've Got a Friend" sang by James himself, sitting with dear friends, a cool summer night under the stars, and the Wings winning...

Tam, you are one amazing blogger and photographer and journalist. Thanks for the memories, especially of Hannah's graduation party. The close up you took of Isaiah makes him look angelic. How DO you do that? Love to read your thoughts about life and family. God blessed the ENTIRE Robrock family when you were adopted. Thank you for the example you are to me. It took me 10 minutes to find my blog password and log in. I'll never get this techno stuff but I enjoy being on the periphery of what you do! Love you much sis, Laurie
